Ive been distilling a couple of months now using bakers yeast and sugar. I
also used a mixture of cracked corn, oats, barley and molasses. It has always
worked pretty good after about 7 days.

Recently I made a mixture of 16 gallons water, 2 packs of turbo yeast, and
about 3 inches of the grain/molasses mixture. At 5 days I cooked off 8
gallons of the stuff and it was about same as always. After about 14 days I
cooked off the other 8 gallons. What happened now is when you go to smell
the cooked product it burns my eyes and if you take a sip it'll take your
breath away. Is this stuff safe to drink ? Is there a way to test it ? Or
should I just stick to sugar and no grain. Any help with this would be
appreceiated.

and just to be sure run the clear liquid through an activated carbon
filter
google will tell you how .
make the fall tube larger than 55 mm inside dia to avoid skin effect .
and at least 1 metre long filled which activated carbon with a drip
rate controlled to less than 1 cup per minute .
this will polish and smooth the taste and remove fusil oils .
if its still hot to taste then I expect its high in content and should
be watered .
Tasting should be very small amounts initially as to much can have
some dangerous effects :_)
