Hi - first time using a still but have been meaning too for years.

I have about 30L of homemade wine that didnt turn out that well -
doenst taste that good (possibly slightly oxidised). its about 2 years
old now.
Also have about 15L of sediment/mash/lees from another batch of wine
that turned out quite well - this is about a year old.

both have been keep sealed.

would either of these be ok to try and distill? does anyone forsee
any problems with this old stuff?

Cheers

At least while your wine is not totally oxidized
and tastes like vinegar you can even make
a brandy out of it.

Just try a little. You can use a pressure cooker connected via rubber
tube to a glass/plastic/metal coil or other longish pipe for cooling
purposes. Watch out - the alcohol will be 100% pure so good luck! Also
watch out for the wrong type of alcohol, the kind that can blind and/or
kill you...
